If you don't know what it is, type the following in Terminal: whoamiĪnd it will display your account name, which you enter above instead of the someuser suggestion. Your "account name" is not the same as your full name, though, it is the same as it is used for your home folder name. append /Users/someuser AuthenticationAuthority make sure that you replace someuser with your account name and to your iCloud address. Enter something like the following and make sure it includes your account info ( not "someuser" and and that it is all in one continuous line and please type, don't copy-paste and use regular double quotes (Shift+2): sudo dscl. ![]() If you still want to go (back) to using iCloud password you will have to revert to a manual change in Terminal. ![]()
